Nora Doyle Dressing

by Nora Doyle

This recipe is from my dear friend, Grinnellian Nora Doyle.

Ingredients:
Balsamic Vinegarette
Olive Oil
Honey
Mustard
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Rosemary*
Thyme*
Sage*
Diced Onion*

*optional, yet tasty, ingredients

The amount of each ingredient necessary for this recipe is dependent upon how much dressing you'd like to make. You can make enough for one salad, or enough for a month. Combine balsamic vinegarette and olive oil, 1:1 in a bowl or jar. Add honey, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper to taste. If making enough dressing for more than one salad, I recommend starting out with approximately 1 tsp. honey, mustard, and garlic (you can always taste and add more). If herbs are available, add chopped rosemary, thyme, and sage. A little diced onion makes this delightful dressing even yummier. Stir or shake all ingredients in a closed container. Store this dressing in the refrigerator, but remove a few minutes before eating. Ingredients may separate. Shake well before using.
